Well finaaly after so many days I was on decision to write a review for Ghajini, because I was thinking, how should I review this movie. But this whole duration made me to write a review So dear Let’s start!
Last three Khaan Movies, Salmaan with God tussi gr8 ho, SRK – Rab ne bana di jodi, And now Aamir – Ghajini. Everybody knows Aamir to be perfectionist. And yes he is! Earlier when it was a news that Aamir is working for 8 pack Abs, I was also believing it to be a khan fight, But no its what Gajini demands for.
I haven’t viewed Memento(it has been told that Gajini is resembling memento). I came to know the resemblance is in the problem which has been shown for Amir, that is 15 min memory loss. So what this is not a copy, this is a good inspiration, by a Man who always works for exception, as he endorsed Pepsi first and then Coke, one of the rare feet any actor has ever achieved across the globe. But Ghajini deserves a Thumbs Up. Why not Thumbs Up dear, only Aamir can pull it off. Like after Taare Zameen Pe, he does a commercial masala film like Ghajini.
The film has six songs composed by A. R. Rahman, lyrics by Prasoon Joshi. Sonu Nigam does the humming that leads into and out of the song Guzarish, while the main vocals are by Javed Ali. Sonu Nigam revealed in an interview that he had sung the entire song with different lyrics when Rahman had composed this song for another film in 2006. That version was never released and when re-recorded, Nigam was in New Jersey for the birth of his son, and Javed Ali was used to sing the song with the new https://lyrics. On the whole AR Rehman, not as good as he is.Guzarish takes the hieghts but Beheka has no repeat value for ears(but its video is good with six funky hairstyles that Aamir sports.) The best song of the film, according to me is “Kaise mujhe…” but it is so deliberatly slow that story instead of moving with it goes slow matching the pace of the song. Never the less, a classic gem from ARR. Prasoon Joshi is a rare breed of poets in the world of lyricists. His poetry is put to good use and the lyrics are a class apart except for Aye Bachchu and Lattoo, picturised on Jiah khan with incomprehensible https://lyrics.
Cinematogrpaher Ravi K Chandran, Love u man! what a job he has done, the tight close up, shots and lights, simply playing with them like a expert and so beautifully.
Editor Anthony does a decent job, even some some section of the job was done by Censor board, also. One of the best shots, when in the final moments since his memory disk crashes again after 15 minutes. He belived the villain to be his friend and that sequence Aamir took the whole show.
*Even though Ghajini is lacking at some points:
•**Some scene start yawning as they are stretched.
•Section wise stories are not grown up, like the love between Aamir n Asin before reaches the heights, disperses by Ghajini the Villain.
•Aamir takes on the whole footage, even though his performance is good.
•Aye bachoo n Latoo, are just item numbers, no need in the movie.
•Jiah Khan’s role is confusing, Why is she doing? What is she doing?
•Some uninteresting moments, the whole drama designed for Amir, to be at Girls hostel and then get arrested.
•And yes the worst part is South Indian Touch in the whole movie!
•Amir for the first time worked like Sunny Deol, even not a single scratch when he is fighting with so big body builders.
Cast:
Aamir Khan as Sanjay Singhania. Sanjay Singhania is a rich business man; the owner of a mobile phone service provider company. Sanjay falls in love with Kalpana, who later is murdered. In the same, Sanjay develops amnesia following a firm blow to his head by an iron rod. After undergoing rehabilitation, Sanjay Singhania becomes obsessed with avenging the murder of his girlfriend and to combat his disability, he has tattoos spread over his torso to help him remember what his intentions are. 5 out of 5 for him, no doubt he is good and only good. This shows why Aamir is Aamir, For perfection simple teacher becomes 8 pack abs hero, Mr. SRK, learn a lesson. If you also need perfection.
Asin Thottumkal as Kalpana. Kalpana is a young, bubbly girl who falls in love with Sanjay Singhania. A model in televison advertisements by profession, Kalpana gains publicity by proclaiming herself to be the girlfriend of the successful entrepreneur, Sanjay Singhania. Sanjay disguises himself as Sachin and relates to her, and Kalpana, unknowing that Sachin is indeed Sanjay, falls in love with him.she helps others. Kalpana, showcased as a kind-hearted person, becomes involved with Ghajini and his henchmen after foiling their plot to sell girls into prostitution . Kalpana is killed in front of Sanjay by Ghajini, and subsequently so creating the theme of avengement, which forms the crux of the plot. Good Job for Asin, 4 out of 5.
Jiah Khan as Sunita. Sunita played a curious medical college student, who even though not given permission tries to study the case of Sanjay Singhania and his amnesiac problem. She appears throughout the film as she attempts to unravel Sanjay's mysteries and past life and goes places to find more information about the psychiatric patient she wants to meet. Despite initial friction between Sanjay and herself, she then helps Sanjay overcome Ghajini. Even though this was the character demanded by the plot, but jiah khan some what failed to be like this. The worst part is her HINDI in American Accent, 1 out of 5 for her
Pradeep Rawat as Ghajini. Ghajini plays the main antagonist who brutally murders Kalpana for insulting him and ruining his plans.He played Deva in Lagaan in which he is one of the integral team members, Father of the kid in Tare Zameen Par, he also played Ashwatthama in B R Chopra's TV serial Mahabharat. He is good but in this movie he was average, because of no scope in front Aamir. 2.5 out of 5.
Riyaz Khan as Fawaz. Fawwaz plays the supporting role of a police inspector who investigates the murders by Sanjay Singhania. He also learns about some of Sanjay's past life, He is really good at his performance. Smart, handsome and good actor, 4 out of 5 for him.
On the whole I will say whatever this movie is, its not a movie we will go for a lot many times, but yes this is one to two time movie, even not to loose one also. Ghajini belongs to a few'A's. Producer Allu Arvind, director AR Murugadoss, Asin, AR Rahman, Editor Anthony and finally Aamir. So many As already present in the film, who has the memory to rate any Aamir film B, he is good movie is good, then why not A.
