I just happened to see Gajini yesterday. I am sorry to say though I am a big fan of Amir Khan films but this time I was a bitdisappointed. I really dont know what to say about this film...great, mediocre or ordinary.....
It gave me an impression that our country has no security anywhere, be it on the road, ladies hostel, residential building or parking lot. Killing people, breaking bones seemed like childs play with no investigation to follow....
I was also confused at how a person with a short term memory loss can become a superhuman psychopath killer, who in-spite of killing so many people sometime by mistake, sometime purposely can be left togo loose.
The villain in the film was also very very weakly portrayed. Asin and Amir's acting was undoubtedly the best..but wishthe story line was better.
Too much close up shots of Amir Khan was also not called for as he was looking too matured (must compliment for his physique) opposite to a very very young heroine like Asin., who was looking very cute.
Jiah Khan's extreme curiosity, thereby going into a complex situation for a maniac was also very unusual and unexplained. Her acting too was not upto the mark.
The Police Inspector who tries to investigate Sanjay Singhania's case had no police troop to back him up inspite of the fact that he knew that he was after a dangerous killer....why on Earth did he have to run after a bus to make it stop instead of taking traffic police's help?? It was very very silly.
The meeting of the Rich Hero and poor heroine was though a very common plot but was very well made and entertaining. It did touch the heart of the audience.
The Songs were excellent but the positioning of these were sudden and misfitting...Hope I am not being too harsh..but I wud like that a person like Amir Khan takes up more and more films that match upto his status and callibre.
