Frustrated General Public from Pune. Review on General views on Indian Traffic

Probably, this is my first review in MS.

After getting fed up with the PMT in Pune.

I usaually travel from one end of the city to the other end from the place where I live and my work place and I rely on the public transport only for my transportation.

(People from Pune will sure be knowing about the Transport infrastructure in and around Pune.)

Now after monsoon the road condition has become pathetic(Don't mistake it as the road condition was good b4 monsoon, Even before monsoon it was the same)One can have the experience of Roller Coaster ride for free if they travel in the roads of Pune.Potholes, potholes, potholes everywhere....and not a bit of road to see.

Ok now coming to the main matter, I don't have much patience to travel in the buses in Pune so I usually take share Autos or a single auto shared by 3/4/5 persons from one place to another.

That day I was waiting for an auto to be shared, and I would also inform u one thing that if it rains or its very late say after 8 pm or .... the price from one place to other may vary like increase.So the distance I wanted to travel was about 3 KMs, so if take a direct auto also it would cost me only around Rs 20 if opted in meter(3Kms*6 Rs/km + 2).So for this 3 kms they charge 7 Rs which may increase up to 10 Rs.That day also I was waiting, and here comes the hero(The Auto Driver) and while getting in to the auto he says the amount will be 10 Rs despite it was not raining, it was not too late or early say 7.10 pm.I was irritated the way he argued and got off the auto saying iam not ready to travel for 10 Rs. was waiting for another auto & this guy gives signal to all other auto guys that all of u must charge only 10 Rs and not less than that.So as a frustrated customer I went to settle down for bus.And I saw a bus standing near the stop with engines on and so deceided to board the bus.Was happy that I got a seat to sit that too the window seat, to my disguise people are getting inside the bus, all seats filled up and the bus also starts to be filled with passengers standing.So now the total population in the bus is say 120 passengers in 30 minutes(May be even more than this).And now here comes the conductor, I was very happy to see him as atleast now the bus will start.But to the dismay, I couldn't see driver along with him, and the conductor starts giving tickets & even more people board the bus now.After another 20 mins he finishes giving tickets to all the passengers and finally the actual driver & conductor and now the time is 7.55 pm.And they talk between themselves to take the bus @ 8.oo pm and finally started the bus @ 8.05 pm and I reached home @ 8.35 pm.That day it took me 1 hour 35 mins to travel just 7 kms.

What I saved : 9 Rs.

What I lost  : My precious 1 Hour 15 mins of a day.

The point to be noted here :

1. PMC(Pune Muncipal Corporation) & PMT's(Pune Municipal Transport) Service

   
   




2. Many people rely on this public transport only and even then the service is bad.

   
   




3. Are thay taking any measures to improve the situation

   
   




4. Advantageous Autowallas because of this condition of PMT.

   
   




5. Frustrated public who don't have any way & accepting what ever comes in their life.

   
   




6. Where is all our money going ?

   
   




7. Is there any solution for this ?
