While going on vacation or trip, it is always advisable to travel as light as possible and to avoid carrying loads of luggage. Carrying loads of luggage not only makes you tiring but also spoils the fun and enjoyment. The advantages of travelling light are :
You can carry everything yourself and do not need help.
You can avoid arguments with porters. Don't have to tip porters.
Don't have to worry about your checked luggage ending up in another city.
Don't have to worry about someone stealing your luggage.
Dash off the airplane to your destination immediately, instead of waiting for the luggage to arrive.
Probably catch the bus or train to get to the hotel, instead of having to pay more to catch a cab.
Though there are a lot of advantages, there are however a few disadvantages:
If you are travelling for a long period, you might have to wash some clothes.
