Be comfortable, be prepared, be well rested, but most of all BEWARE! Not all malls are the same. There are malls here in the U.S. that are(so called) discount malls, there are high end malls(expensive) and there are neighborhood malls.
I like shopping in the neighborhood malls because they are close to home and offer some really good sales and discounts without having to travel to the big discount malls. I can not afford to shop the high end malls(most of us can't).
The neighborhood mall closest to me(5 minutes by car) is the Coral Square Mall. It has a huge selection of different types of stores to shop in. There are 2 Macys stores. One caters to clothing for the whole family and the other caters to everything for the home. They are the 2 anchor stores at either end of the mall. Beware, they are also the most expensive in the mall. There is also a Sears, and a Penneys and a Dillards, which are the same as the more expensive Macys store. You can purchase all the same items in these stores so you just have to compare prices and brand names.
There are also about 100 smaller stores of every type here. My favorite one is Kirklands which sells odd items for the home at very reasonable prices. I do a lot of shopping there. There are stores for shoes and stores for sports items. There is also a store called F.Y.E(for your entertainment) where you can purchase videos, dvds, music of every kind and they have great sales. There ar childrens clothing stores and maternity clothing stores. Men's shops, womans shops and many food related shops. There is a 99 cent store where you can pick up little household items. There is even a food court where you can eat at your choice of about 25 different restaurants!
Turn left at the chldren's carousel ride and there is even a couple of good jewelry shops and shoe stores. There are even dozens of little kiosks set up in the mall selling everything from watches to dead sea salt facial scrubs.
There is no reason for me or anyone to travel to discount malls if you can find everything so close to home in you neighbohood mall.
But as I mentioned before BEWARE.you certainly can spend more than you intended to when you find sales and bargains everywhere you look.
So, wear good shoes, stop for lunch, bring you money and credit cards and have a great day shopping.
