Roads - Battle fields & each one’s personal property*

Pune’s infrastructure is developing very rapidly. From 2008 to today we all need to be very glad to notice the tremendous improvement in roads in almost all the corners in and around pune. We all need to appreciate the efforts behind these improvements. Quite obvious to have questions like Is this sufficient enough for Pune requirements? Are we really having risk free roads?

Coming to risk free road Journey, leaving the administration side of the issues; have we ever looked in to our role of Road manners. Are we ensuring that we are sincerely adhering to all the traffic basic expectations? We are not.

We don’t care to show signals and not bothered about Police signals. Any road, Any time I decide my speed approach

Pedestrians are KINGS because they are wal”king”.  For them they don’t need to wait for signals or to look ahead or sides. Cross abruptly it is the problem of the vehicle driver to see and go.

I am sorry if it is causing pain, but it is true we are all the exhibitors of these funny acts.

I am writing this because I am one of the victims of these continuous Road mishaps. Only after this fatal disturbance in my life, I came to know that Pune habitants are witnessing minimum 10-15 accidents average a day.

It is true that we need to have drastic change in our traffic rules and punishments pattern. We need to have awareness programs on it. I don’t think road side boards can change the person; we need to keep on upgrading the Rules and make it compulsory for each driver to be aware and follow the same on a regular basis. We all have to develop ablution process by improving knowledge and consequences of wrong going on roads.
