Hi all,
Writing a little late on this one. But recently I had a very very very bad experience with the Sri Durga Travels in Kodaikanal. The only bad thing I faced in Kodai was this travels. Other things went very smoothly.
To begin with, I got down at the bus stop and found myself surrounded with a few travel agent guys. I should have just avoided them and got advice from the Sterlings' resort where I was going to stay. I had an advanced booking here. But my travel was not going to be that easy. So I went with these ppl from Durga travels and invited trouble.
Things go like this! first you make a deal and then they demand for advance. Once you pay the advance, booom, you are taken for a ride(not around Kodai:-(). They promise lots of things and they
dont do it unless you call them some 100 times. They made me wait for more than 2 hours every morning. After all this the ride they provide would be congested unless you demand for comfort.
Moreover the language they speak is very bad. There is no one in this particular agency who can speak well with there customers. We had to literally fight and argue with them to make them do what they promised and for what they had taken the money.
After the tour when I asked for a receit for the payment I made they refused it saying they dont give it to anyone! This was acceptable by me and then again a quarel.
Do not know what all incidents to add, but only advice is to avoid them! My advice is to checkin into the hotel first and then calmly decide on a good agency. there are lots of them. Else decide first and then leave for Kodai. At any time try to avoid DURGA!
