Bad Travel Experience - Kaveri Express(BLR to CHN)
Aug 18, 2016 05:32 PM 4006 Views

I have been in many train in my life time, train travel ranging from few hours to 3 plus days and / or travel raging from on time arrival to long hours delay. During my childhood, I loved to get down at an unknown platform and wave hand to amma, remember her scolding and her love & hug when finding me back on the train as the train moves.

It's fun travelling long or over night on train, making friends with unknown people but one thing I believe we all expect is a sound sleep in an over night journey as this is one of the main reason to opt train over bus.

Day before yesterday, I travelled from bangalore to chennai in Kaveri Express. I had been to the railway station early, it was late night and cold. I was not prepared for the cold weather and was shivering,

Yeah a common problem with all Chennai loving guy but there the was a quick relief as the train arrived few minutes late than the actual planned time and I was the first to appreciate the improvements with Indian Railways.

This is where the experience started to change.

This train seems to have very old compartments and the train makes jerks spoiling the complete travel experience. These jerks were often and highly unpredictable making the passengers to hit the iron rod on the seat, doors at the toilet etc.

Then came the worst, the sleep was completely disturbed due to these jerks

I wish the travel could have been better if the authority takes action and replace old compartments with new good quality compartments
