Many health insurance companies make your claim(cashless or reimbursement) after careful analysis of all the bills .This is applicable to all government and private companies.
1)Do check the name on the Cashless Card /Policy Bond and the name on the Medicine Bill is same.
Many health insurance companies refuse claim if name on the Bill or Report and name on the Cashless Card or Policy Bond is different.(for example if you wrote Irfan Yusuf Pathan when you took the policy and the chemist types Irfan Pathan will be wrong.)
While filling the form write the same name everywhere.
If there is change in name due to Marriage, do get it changed by your Health Insurance Company.
2) If there is change in your Mobile Number, just send a mail to them or add the new number on renewal.
3)If there is a change of Address, just send a mail to them or add the new address during renewal with address proof.
4)If there is a change of Email-id, just send a mail to them or add the new email id during renewal.
5)If there is an addition of a Baby in the family, ask if you can add another member or take a new plan in the same month as you will remember your yearly renewals.
6)If your Health Insurance covers Outpatient Expenses, take care of all consultations and prescription along with medicine bills(for dental, eyes, diagnostic reports etc).
Many Health Insurance companies refuse to settle medicine bills amount without Consultation and Prescription from a doctor.
Just click your Consultation and Prescriptions in your mobile and forward it to your mediclaim agent and submit the original medicine bills.
7)If your Health Insurance company provides a Personal Accident cover, do remember to check the Nominee and change if needed.
