Faster and healthier than fast food for bachelors

i can understand how bachelors long for home made food. there are so many things which you can make it fast and is really delicious.this is for single person.


Rice upma , rava upma,


Ingrediants 1 big onion, mustard ,chilly 2 bengal gram corriander leaves, pinch of salt, turmeric, ginger, little coconut.


in one stove boil water. add oil in tava. fry onion, things to garnish , ginger and chilly. light brown color. add rava (sooji) or broken rice fry it and then add hot boiled water stir it to finish and parallely add pinch of salt, asafoetida, turmeric. when the mixture tend to solidify switch it off add grated coconut and carrot.


the whole thing takes the 'boiling time of water' and report me if it takes more than 7 mins for the whole process. cut onion when the oil is boiling.


ready mix available for rava idly, rava dosa, maggi noodles.


2.Bread omlette : take 1 egg . break it and add, pepper powder, salt and turmeric. keep the frying pan to heat up. then soak 4 slices of bread and spread it in the tava .add little oil. . soft tasty bread omlette is ready.


3.Left over rice - night if you have left over rice. next day add some water and boil it for 3 mins . add chilly,ginger , garnish it. add little curd and more milk .if available add grapes or any sprouts. its really tasty and good for hot afternoons.


4.Dhal Dosa. if you have 30 mins of time and need variety. just browse your kitchen take all possible dhals bengal, thoor, small,anything, rice all in 1 big tumbler. soak it for 15-20 mins. in the mean time cut onion,cocunut, ginger ( I cant prepare anything without ginger)and curry leaves into small pieces . then ground the dhal mixture with little salt and 3 dry red chillies. (2 mins). then add 1 spoon of curd and the cut vegetables . fry it as dosa. boss 30th min the dosa is ready. you wont require any chutney for this.delicious and nutritious.


5.Dhal - take the cooker put more cooking dhal, 4 times of water, 2 red chillies, curry leaves, asafotida, turmeric , one cut tomato. wait for 5 whistles. mean while grind 4 pieces of coconut with jeera.after you open the cooker add this mixture hot hot. its really tasty .


6.Iddiyapam - looks something similar to noodles and is avalable in readymades in all retail shops. anil brand is good. its made out of rice flour.just put it in boiling water for 2 mins. drain water add grated coconut and sugar. for garam people - add seasonings in oil with curry leaves and 1 chilly and salt. tasty iddiappam ready.


7.Vatha kuzhambu - do the seasoning with oil . fry it with cut onion,garlic and any dhal. Parallely in hot water add tamarind to get tamarind pulp faster . mix it with turmieric powder, dhanya powder, asfoetida, mirchy powder. allow the mixture to heat up for 5 mins. you can try adding, smally cut lady's finger or brinjal.


i think I need to stop here as it will be more preachy and disliked by many.


Anyway these are all few things that could be done faster and tastier for single person or for a group. Try this out.
