Landi renzo kit , all original components instaled
Jan 06, 2010 01:00 AM 30276 Views

I thought I should share my exp of installing cng on my Santro recently .

Just like normal guy around started my search for best kit . a lot of names popped up . Many of them Italian / Indian / Argentinian etc .

Interestingly all vendors claimed to there product to be best, however I decided to pursue my own judgement.  read a lot of presentations / websites(Indian and of foreign origin)  reviews etc.

Talked to many vendors and negotiated best prices( believe me all of hem are calling me up now for appointment for installation)

To cut the story short .decided to install landi renzo on my car for following reasons

1) They are the biggest manufactures of kits in world and 80% itailian run vehicles have landi installed.

2) There kit is very compact

3) Price was very competitive( could manage to negotiate all original parts including landi lamda+ original landi wire harness+ Indian advancer+ Indian emulator with Italian( MR make) pipe+ gas regulator+ inlet valve with ekc cylinder( billed to dealer at 10800/- by etc)  for 31.5K)

4) Landi has taken over another very well known Itailian brand recently - just forgotten, but you can see details on here website.

5) Hyundai has approved CEV( dealer) in okhla to exclusively retrofit there vehicles with landi kit. they how ever are charging 52K for the same kit installed for 31k by me but your warranty will remain intact( thts the catch) 20 K extra for warranty . my car is 4 year old and even the exteneded warranty is over now . so no reasons to go to them.

I'm not saying here landi is the best kit around but my research and discussions pointed that out, however I am still to test  for it is just 10 days now but today I drove may car at 110 without any effort just like petrol, that reassures my confidence of choosing correct kit .

Pickup is amazing  too. I can drive efficiently just like I used to drive earlier. There is drop in torque but I feel if following precautions are taken they will be overcome as well .

1) drive on petrol for 1 km before switching to cng in morning and before parking.

2) clean your filter every 1000 kms( learn how to do it yourself its very simple and will be lot of help), reason cng vehicle need extra air then petrol and thus your vehicle filter should be clog free .

3) use gud quality lubricant, preferably synthetic, and change at 10K kms.

4) use ac only when your engine has heated and bar is between the optimum range, do not start vehicle  on ac direct

5) engine heats more on cng, so ensure your coolant is ful and of gud grade .

HOPE MY REVIEW MAY BENEFIT MORE OWNERS AROUND TO TAKE CORRECT DECISION .
