A friend of mine who knows that I like to read love stories told me to read this book by Sudeep Nagarkar with this unique title: Sorry You're Not My Type. The title seems interesting to me, and I asked her to send me the E-book as soon as possible. I asked her to brief me little more about the book but as all girls do, which we called it Nakra in boy's language. She did exactly the same by just replying if you like reading love stories you will definitely love this book. This was enough for me, to give a try and start my reading. So one day as I was traveling back from my work. I opened this PDF file, which she has sent me almost two weeks back.
About The Book:
This book is the story of three friends Vikrant, Anamika and Yuvi who come from three different backgrounds. They all have one common goal in life, to become successful as a music band. During their college days they create this band and named it as Vayu.
Vayu stands for V for Vikrant, who is the drummer of the band, He is a serious guy who opens up only with his friends. A for Anamika, the bold and beautiful dancer of the band, who has a sad past and fears ragging. Y for Yuvi, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band, who is also a drug addict.
Even though Yuvi is the lead guitarist in the team, he always has this insecure and jealous feeling for Anamika because of her growing popularity amongst the youth. He is in a four years long committed relationship with Kashish and both love each other to the core. Anamika on the other hand, feels Yuvi as her best friend. She hooks up with Anurag, who is a rich spoil brat and recently had breakup with his girlfriend Sanaya. Anamika wanted to be in the relationship just to escape ragging from the seniors and was not interested to be in a serious relation. Vikrant falls in love at first sight with Sanaya when he sees her at Delhi’s metro station but is not aware that she is Anurag’s ex-girlfriend and his senior too.
Their friendship became popular so as their band, but with this popularity there comes the fantastic tale of love, romance, drama, betrayal, hatred, friendship and much more which the author has explained beautifully in the book.
What to look for in the book: Perfect story telling of the author Good philosophical thoughts portrayed. Quotes on love, friendship and relationships. Poems have been included at the correct incidents and written beautifully. Romantic situations have been described very well.
Final Verdict:
It's a good, sweet story which deals with love, betrayal and friendship. The book will definitely bring a smile on your face as you flip page to page.
