Books are our best friends. We learn a lot from books. Its not about grammar or language or any subject, it is about knowledge and experience. When we read books from great author's and see the world through their eyes we learn many things. Reading improves our knowledge on that particular language and subject .
Specially for school kids its very important to develop reading habit, because they are in state of learning, the more they read, the more they will learn. If we are buying books for kids we should first see that it is a form which the child can understand, simple language, not too complex .
It is better to buy books from good authors .Weekly or monthly magazines like Champak, Tinkle can be given to small children, and once they start enjoying reading books we can give them story books and novels.
There are many good books on science and activity which can also be given to school children, they are very good as the child learns many new DO IT YOURSELF activites .
