Bike Maintenance tips what i learned

Like everyone experiences something in their life for the first time and learn from it, Same way I learned about bike when I had my very 1st Own Bike which I bought in 2016 almost six years ago.

Model : Honda Dream Yuga 110cc.

Let me be very honest I was having Zero knowledge of Bike Maintenance, But as the time passed I learned many things the most funniest part while travelling to village on my bike for the first time which is approx 90 kms I was so much confused that why my bike is not taking pickup in speed so I immediately stopped on the highway garage and then realized that my bike's rear tyre is puncture and it has a tubeless tyre and without realising the risk I drove all the way 45 kms with that punctured tyre, the garage person informed me that me and my bike is safe due to tubeless tyre, if it would have been a normal tube tyre it would have been damaged totally within 10 kms.

Now it's a time to share the knowledge what I learned:

First thing I did was after purchasing my bike I was regularly taking my bike for a maintenance check on every 1500 km as per the company's guideline to the authorised service centre only where services is provided by company for 1 year or 4 free services but they charge you for oil and spare parts if anything required to be changed,

Second I never drove my bike above 50 km speed until all 4 services were done.

Third thing I did was at least for 6 months I didn't took double seat ride or gave my bike to anyone to drive.

Fourth I never took my bike to any local garage until all the 4 services done in the first year.

Now the biggest mistakes I did:

During pandemic I joined delivery company for part time income and in rainy season I drove my bike in heavy flooded areas almost for a month which really affected badly to my bike's Engine, Tyres, Liners, Chain set & clutch plate.

And second mistake I added a fog lights due to rainy season darkness which affected my bike's stater fues.

If the starter fues gets shot the whole power supply fails in bike and bike won't start at all.

Hope this tip will help you to maintain your Bike. I have attached my bike's latest photo even after 6 years it is still maintained.
