Android - avoid it like the plague. Review on General Tips on Android

This is my review of the OS android that seems to be rather famous in Samsung/Sony/LG/HTC phones these days, and are also given vast hype on channels like NDTV Gadget Guru, TOI and American review magazines. While I agree its a hundred times more flexible and customisable and faster compared to IOS in iPhone(which shouldnt be bought at all), Android has its downs as well. Again if I offend Android fans it doesnt matter to me, all I want to do is set the record straight about the OS as I'm impartial and quoting facts. The consumer has the rights to know Android fully before buying.

1) Resource hogging: Multiple apps run in the background always and consume broadband when connected to wi-fi/gprs. These apps have no purpose and are there merely to give advertising revenue to Google and cannot be uninstalled/stopped(legal trojans anyone?)

2) Lack of call end/answer call buttons - Its lame that Android copied the pathetic user interface of Apple wherein there's no physical button for call-end or answer, rather an inconvenient sliding key in the the touchscreen which wont register unless you slide it all the way across.

3) Bluetooth is always on secure mode and has to be turned visible to other devices by multiple processes and the visibility lasts only 2 minutes(highly inconvenient).

4) Upgrades - Never smile when getting upgrades, it only means more unnecessary apps, more processes and a slower phone system.

5) Unstable when too many apps are installed: I consider this a benefit actually, I only need a phone to make/receive calls and text messages, and for people who think they can have a 1000 apps installed in their phone, best of luck, your phone will crash every 2 minutes.

6) A better Android system is on its way with improved interface, one touch easy big icons, and physical buttons in late 2012 as all the above are complaints of most of the users. Do wait for that if at all, else soon to be released Win 7 phones recommended.

7) Apps are battery drainers and no Android phone can make it more than a day with normal use.

While many of you might blame the phones or manufacturers of that phone for all the problems, its actually Android that is responsible. For those who might say I'm blaming the OS while my phone hardware is outdated, I have a 1.2 ghz dual core phone with led display(lesser battery consumption) running on recently launched Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0, and I do not blame the phone whatsoever, Android has a long way to go to be completely user friendly. Those who are contemplating going for an Android Samsung/Sony/HTC phone can gladly go for it(LG has battery issues so I wont recommend), but do be aware of the above disadvantages. Sure it maybe all about getting used to, but it sure is not convenient.
