Millions of people who lost their relatives, home, shop, factory had to suffer during partition, flood, tsunami, earthquakes etc. It was next to impossible to get their own things back, but life is much better now.
When you get whats app message on your smartphone like one of your native INDIAN village will be submerged in water.You dont feel like forwarding the same to your relatives or friends there.But you can ask them to apply these suggestions or you all may add your suggestion in addition to mine.
1) Purchase Gold ETF online through your android or centre near your house .You don't want to see your gold drowning or sell gold and deposit cash in bank(Something is better than nothing).
2)Pay your tax online with your android.Dont keep cash at home .Deposit in bank .You dont want to see your cash drowning.
3) Suppose you loose your mobile also so make a Draft of your bank details/gold account/demat details/Loan account in all your mail account.
4) Click all your medical reports /consultation receipt/diagnostic reports/mediclaim policy to prove your health details to mediclaim companies before and after disaster. Email the pics to your relative or friend in india and abroad.
P. S .However if your mobile is lost or submerged in water before you can buy a new android
1)Laminate all your documents .make 2/4 sets.Courier the same to a relative/friend inside India and another to a relative/ friend outside India.Ask them to keep in a locker in their country.
2) Make 2 or 3 Email ID(gmail account /rediffmail account/yahoo account)
click all the lic policy/shares/post office/mutual fund folio no /car insurance/household insurance/shop insurane/residence/land and property papers/wil.

Lastly, just don't forget the password on your android .Check your mails every week and remove excess ads.write all your passwords on your android memo pad.
I m not advising for new app based services for personal finance becoz some are free and some charge .Downloading is also an issue.They need access to all your details too.
