Android(or Lagdroid as I call it) is no doubt the world's most and India's most popular mobile OS. Out of 10 people in India, 8 of them have a Lagdroid phone today. But I am one of the few Indians who absolutely loathes Lagdroid and considers it an absolutely rubbish and overrated OS(in fact, its the worst mobile OS I've ever come across). I strongly discourage any first time smartphone buyer to go for Lagdroid. Reasons are simple:
Lagdroid as the name itself suggests, lags heavily after just a few weeks of usage, even on using a phone with default Android installed such as the Moto G. This is due to serious issues in the OS threading, you can check this out in the Internet for further clarification. Apart from the lag issues, there are also other serious performance issues.
Lagdroid heavily consumes battery and other hardware resources. Before the advent of Lagdroid phones, power banks were not heard of in India. Now almost everyone with a Lagdroid phone also has a power bank to charge their phone at work or outside because the battery life of a Lagdroid phone barely lasts 4-6 hours with heavy usage and 12-14 hours with moderate usage.
Lagdroid revolutionised mobile antivirus systems because its the only mobile OS that is vulnerable to viruses, malware, spyware, trojans etc.
Lagdroid is not user friendly. It takes a lot of time to get used to the features of the OS and even simple tasks like making phone calls, saving contacts and sending messages is so difficult.
The UI is horrible and ugly. The apps are even worse, just iOS apps with cosmetic changes.
There is too much fragmentation in Lagdroid which does not ensure a consistent experience across all Lagdroid devices.
Scroogle does not bother to regulate the apps published in its Play Store. All sorts of nonsense ft, sx, flashlight and malware apps are present in the store. These rubbish apps itself partly contribute to the huge number of apps in the Play Store.
Scroogle unethically spies on whatever one does on his/her Lagdroid nonsense; what he/she is texting on WhatsApp, whom they call, what they browse on FB and mobile browser etc. for the purpose of generating advertisements for their own profit. Plus, it tries to shove its rubbish services like Gmail, Scroogle+, Hangouts etc. down the Lagdroid users throats, even if they don't want to use it. The only way the Scroogle apps can be deleted is by rooting the phone, a task which cannot be done by a person who has no strong and advanced technical knowledge of mobile phones and computers.
