Poor sales service by electrolux airconditioners
Jul 31, 2008 04:48 PM 7867 Views

This is my second review. I wrote the first review on the humiliation that I had to face at the hands of Kotak Mahindra Bank when I had to avail of a PL from them. I am glad to report that I DID receive a phone call from a Relationship Manager who requested me to withdraw the post. However, there was no regret in his voice on the bad experience that I had to have.

Coming to the Electrolux issue. I had purchased a new Electrolux window AC in May 2006. Within 3 months, the remote control of the AC conked off. I called up the customer service number. They told me since my AC is the luxury model, they do not have the remote for that in stock. Instead, they took the remote away and replaced it temporarily with a used remote.

Since then, I have kep following up with them. Somehow, they never have the remote in stock. Please note that Electrolux outsources their after sales service to private parties. These mechanic shops do not care about the image of the company while dealing with the customers. When the Electrolux Company itself is not worried about their image, why would third parties be worried about it?

However, it is customers like me who suffer because of the lack of attention from the company. The used remote control went out of action soon afterwards and there has been no replacement . that means that the after sales service provider has kept my new remote control and there is no one accountable for it. I tried contacting people at Electrolux at their office in Gurgaon. They simply wash their hands off from the issue. One brilliant chap at Electrolux Gurgaon actually suggested me to write to the parent company. One guy advised me to call up the manufacturing plant of Electrolux and order a new remote control. **So much for the customer support!!

*Through this forum, I would like to give ELECTROLUX India a wake up call. They already know what paltry share of the indian AC market they possess.

Serve your customers with respect, care and attention that they deserve.

Replace my remote Control :-)
