MS has finally come out of its hiding and made things clear! In a well-worded letter Faisal does attempt to give us a picture of what is exactly happening with MS. I commend faisal to have come out and explained the situation. I for one support MS, and god-willing, let this website prosper!

Strange title?! But the words MS mean a lot to me now. MS is MouthShut for everyone, for me it is MySpace. My space on the web where I can relate to.
No! I wasnt a big fan of MS when I began writing here! Infact in my first few reviews I blasted Mouthshut. But what has followed since then is a growing relation with this beautiful site. And now, even if I don’t have time to check my mails, there is always a extra 15 minutes for mouthshut. This topic come to me as a chance to re-iterate my views on MS; and instead of updating my review on MS, I thought a brand new review would under this category would be more appropriate.
Mouthshut changed its design recently. Now I am kind of guy who doesn’t like changes…so I didn’t take the design to well. I still feel that the design on front page can be improved a bit. The speed has never been a problem with the site, and its one of the reasons why I love visiting this site. Mouthshut for me is a perfect example of Indian Context, Global acceptance idea. MS is very Indian, yet very global.and its quite self evident from the huge number of global users data bases. I wont go on about MS any more, because a lot has already been said and I need not re-iterate the points.
And now coming to some important things.these are a few things which I have been noticing of late.
Mouthshut is still not clear about their points system redemption. No I don’t write here for money at all, but still I would love to know what my point is worth. We all know the economy downturn these days, and all websites are having a hard time being up, but wouldn’t that be great if MS people explained it themselves to us. MS should be more open and frank towards people of their positions rather than maintaining a silence. I for one don’t want MS to shut down…and if it means NOT getting my points redeemed…so be it! But yeah, I did like to hear an explanation first! I am sure there are hundreds of people like on me on MS who don’t care a damn about the redemption, and want MS to continue for long….and they too would like to hear some answers too! So I believe its time MS finally came out and explain the situation.
I don’t know why, suddenly the site seems to have become a revenge-raters paradise. Lot of members having a bigger distrust list than trust list! And best part is, they do go all the way to make sure that everyone knows that so and so people write crap, copy, blah blah blah! One thing I would like to mention is MS has survived happily for nearly 1 or 1.5 years now and MS has been very effective with dealing with plagiarism. Even in the past there were people who copied, but they have never really got any far. Such outbursts against people were not seen before, but still cheaters have never prospered here. So I think even if some one is cheating, it doesn’t make sense ranting on them boldly in every review of yours and starting a diatribe against them! Please! Cheaters don’t prosper, and they don’t. But instead, by ranting on them is only making this site a rough site. Lets keep Mouthshut as it was.simple, and a place we can relate to.
Yeah, one of the best things that MS did to me was to gain knowledge and make new friends. I am indebted to MS for getting me friends like jilmil, venchasa, achougoo, reviewer, loverboy4u_17, abbey, calvin, koshish, jasbirdyn and lot others whom I have never met( I hope to but!), but I am sure they are all great people in themselves. I would advise people to look beyond that payment, writing, revenge-rating perspective. Look further, each one of us has a chance to make some really good friends here and keep them for rest of our lives. I had a nasty brawl going on with Amrita for so many days now, but I have buried the hatchet( don’t know whether she has!). So friends, look further; MS provides something different to all of us.
On MS you will find some of the most actively involved behind the scenes people like Aarthi and Faisal who add that human touch to this site. its a appreciable effort that the CEO takes time to reply to mails and keep updating the site often. The staff is usually cordial in their replies and open to suggestions. This is one feature which I greatly like about MS and I hope it continues for long. But yeah, I wish MS wasn’t as ambiguous as it is!
So people, its in our hands which can keep MS flying high. And we make a decision whether this site remains or not! If you think that MS is not worth it and it might not pay you and all such stuff then ask yourself.’why do you still write here?’. You will probably realize the answer. For all those who love MS.keep it going.if not, MySpace will suddenly become small.
