Ok guys, the reason I have given my op this title is because that is exactly what I am going to do with this opinion...express my total honesty and not leave anything that needs to be said, unsaid.
Well here goes...
I am relatively new to MS and I was given a very warm welcome with my first opinions...I had loads of ratings and comments and I felt very much part of the community which is great! But then I started to notice something unfair...One of my opinions (The Big Brother one) attracted 71 reads! I would have been over the moon except that out of the 71 reads, only 34 were read by members. This was a pattern with all my opinions and it made me think that maybe there are certain MS members who read opinions without logging on to the site? Perhaps I am wrong, and perhaps they are not MS users, but it just made me wonder…
Another thing that confuses me is why people can take the time to read my opinions but not click on one simple button to rate it? I always read and RATE people’s opinions and I always try to leave a comment…this brings me to my next point…
Comments are rarely left on opinions apart from the opinions written by the more established writers on this site from what I have seen. I love reading comments that people have left me as it shows true appreciation of the time and effort that I have put into my opinions. I would rather someone leave a comment on my opinion than to simply rate it as it means more to me personally. I don’t know how others feel but these are my views!
Another bad vibe that I picked on is some of the racial prejudice that goes on in here which is stirred up by certain members…I don’t have to spell it out as I am sure u all know what I mean, but I am referring to not so long back when a controversial opinion written by Imran led to an outcry of abusive comments. This gave me a bad impression of MS and I didn’t feel like writing here anymore as these abusive comments were comments made against my origins. However, I stuck with MS and found that not everyone was like this. There are some truly talented and very fair people on this site. Four people that spring Pooj,Spookay, Jilmil and Aysis whom I have a lot of respect for and who always have a mature and positive attitude towards the work of others.
Im sorry if I have offended anyone, but I just wanted to air my views! If you disagree with my comments about reading, rating and commenting on opinions then prove me wrong with this op!
