The above statement is made by Rajni Raj in my comments section, To be honest I completely disagree, Why is it that only SW needs to be matured doesnt that apply to all the reviewers on this site, Why doesnt MS simply add this as a guideline to its guideline list that it have for the Star Writers, So friends let me start with the Star Writer thingy, You are not a SW the moment you enter this site, So just be a good writer first and follow the above advice minus the SW portion. On Mouthshut SW is just a Tag a advantage that you get from the site, I know many of you don’t agree with me being one but then why don’t you put your grievances the support of MS, why to shout at me in my comments section that who made you SW and how come MS hails you as a SW.
As far SW making is concerned, MS should propose a name to its members that it feels should be a SW and then ask for a member POLL or a comment via email about the said member, if majority supports the concerned member should be made a SW.
Is it a Movie Reviewing Site
People are churning movie reviews as if mouthshut is a Movie reviewing factory, I don’t understand this, just for the sake of a Movie contest why is Mouthshut killing the prospects of other reviewers, Every day we see 25 movie reviews and many a times a single reviewer post 10-15 movie reviews himself and that too of age old movies, Why so?
Lallu suggestion to this is MS should make a separate webpage where in only contest reviewing is done so that people who churn just for the hake of winning contest can easily do so in there.
In consistent SW
I have seen Star Writer who haven’t rated not written a single review from Ages and yet they are there, Such writers jump in 1-2 months write 2-3 reviews in quick time, rate few reviews on the main page and end up saving there SW status, Why doesn’t MS strictly follow its Guidelines if it is boasting about it so much.
Lallu Observation has gone on to see the Review of the Day .funda.LOL LOL, I mean I have seen if you can review a movie on the Friday itself and ensure that your review is 1-5 of the reviews then yours definitely be a review of the day, Yes frnds its true, This MS practice is simply to bring in hits, Which I personally like as a good policy but then why doesn’t it select a good review as a review of the day, Why is it that only first few reviews are selected those who praise the movie, I mean in a recent e.g. that I can give is about DUS, there were 3 negative reviews first up but MS ended making the review which praised the movie as the ROD, why so? I don’t get it.
No Response
I have seen many reviews on this topic and many suggestions made for the betterment of the site by many members, I have seen the CEO commenting time and again in a very very repetitive fashion like “Thank you my friend we are making MS a better place and we always welcome good suggestions”, I mean if we presume that CEO has commented so the things will be done but I haven’t seen any suggestions being implemented from those all reviews. Why is that so.
Lallu Suggestion is MS should make a coming soon or a new development on ms webpage wherein it puts all the things are that are being developed newly so that members should be happy about that the Site is doing something for them.
We support the person who support what we feel
To be honest I will like to mention my recent Saif Ali Khan review where in I liked him being a National Award winner but then I end up getting U rating overall, Zuludancing(Aditya Bhaiyya) rated me Useful and in reaction to this we had real123’s review which only was an extension to his comment on my review, he ended up getting VU rating, I had comments from people that your review is one sided and all but then in his review there were no pros and cons and no Maturity as my fellow member talked about, but still Aditya Bhaiyya and other members rated it VU, WHY?
Simple you rate on the basis of opinion and not the quality of the review, If my review sucked his review wasn’t a piece of gold either. So please all of you check for it on MS there is no review rating it’s a opinion rating.
What the members like
I have seen that people like to read Humourous reviews and not serious ones, I am honest to myself, whenever I find big review I have many a times skipped it in parts and read the first and last para and commented routinely like Good big review etc, this is not done, Our tendency is to read short precise review which are a fast read and not detailed accounts, So we just blindly rate VU.
Lallu suggestion for this is MS should categorize Humour based review as the TOP 5 humor review of the day, and also same categories for other reviews. Hehe, I mean many a times a serious piece of advice gets no rating and is gone unnoticed, why so, Wont a member feel bad about it then.
Friday Reviewers/New Product reviewers
They are a different breed, I have seen Aarvee(Rachitvats) telling about it, such reviewer s just pop out to review on a new product and the movie to get good hits and then they vanish. I hate such reviewers.
Hotmail type Technology
I have seen that in Hotmail whenever I sign in I can remain signed in for so much time, whereas MS logs me out, Why doesn’t use a Hotmail based technology so that I can write reviews freely without any fear of getting logged out. Try it.
I don’t Understand
Why is MS repetitive in the Home page, you might see a blue tab bar about the categories and then again more links on the left side. My suggestions is that remove one of the area and do it, How about a Thought of the Day or something entertaining being featured in there.
Pros and Cons Text Box
My worst hatred is with those Text Box, its like Ramayan Khatam ho gayi aur then you ask who is sita, It simply Is an excuse for people to not read the whole review and read those pathetic Text Boxes. Absolutely lallu.
New member email alert
The default setting email alert for a new member should be made Daily Digest and not individual emails, I received 1000 mails of one comment, one rating and one reading from mouthshut when at starting I didn’t had the daily digest feature not active so MS should make it default so that user doesn’t get irritated.
Fokat m2ms
I hate M2Ms like can we be friends something like use of MS as a match finding site.
