Its been almost "One" year with Mouthshut, and am I glad to be a part of it!
In this journey with MS, I have written bad reviews, some good reviews(i think :) ), some funny jokes, some thoughts in general, made sweet friends, gifted a bunch of roses to a totally unknown ( but still somehow connected) person and what not!
Mouthshut has been a platform for us to share our experiences(good-bad), share our thoughts, share our likes/dislikes, make new virtual friends who admire/criticize you on your writings, express things that we only thought are useless(which actually are pretty useful to some), bring to notice the good/bad things of the products to the brand owners, share our photos, getting admiration that would otherwise have not come to you and most of all feel satisfied for "i helped someone today!" feeling.
We sure are in love with MS, arent we?,,,,,:-)
Best things ive seen on MS -
a) How we unite as one when terror strikes mumbai, and vented out our feelings with gratitude and honour filled for the brave ones!
b)How young MS debutants gets encouraged and appreciated by a lot of MSians!
c) How people from different religions shared a common belief, peace & equanimity & togetherness, with the medium of words and words only!
d)The feeling of satisfaction and happiness from helping another touches us, when someone says that
"Hey thanks man your review really helped me buy my bike!"
e)The laughs we share on a joke on a diary post, with comments from a bunch of people "young - old - happy - sad - girl - boy " which makes us realize that we are all connected(somehow)!
To sum it up - "It happens only in MS!"
I personally am glued onto it whenever I am free of the so callled obsessions I have in computers. Reading reviews, sharing diaries with a group of sweet people, commenting good & bad on other reviews, gifting virtual flowers, posters and a lot of those variety of gifts available in our very own "MS Store"!
I personally love writing vey much ,a passion I had other than drawing cartoons for a long time, and MS has given me the perfect place to write, a blackboard that says "Scribble me up!" , and I am thoroughly enjoying doing just that!
There are things I have done different on MS, which otherwise would have been "never" for me!Touched on topics otherwise out of my bag, like books (i even once thought of writing a review on a book :-) ...hehe.) Written admirations for movies i've absolutely loved! A sweet thrill always attached when I write about a movie! Reviewed a couple of music albums, for which I had a few thoughts to share!
Technically speaking, being a technical guy, I am bound to write some :-) ) , a few observations I found in MS...
a) A slight glitch in the review editing page, for the spaces need to be manually edited.
b) Browsers other than IE provide a lesser user-friendly experience in review editing.
c)Diaries, the spaces somehow dissapear when we preview a diary post!
d)Mouthpad, review writing( i.e when writing a review along with the suggestion) , doesnt have formatting options!
e)Review photos are limited to two only.
I am sure though, that with some talented and dedicated people at MS, I am sure in the coming years, these would surely be gone!
MS for me is a place to laugh together, vent out my anger about social/political/economical issues I feel strongly about, feel globally connected, admire writings of our fellow MSians.
MS is fast developing as the new "ADDA" of the crowd!
With our friends from the inside like "Faisal", "Jasmine", "Vikram Tech" who always are commited in listening to our problems, suggestions, providing innovative ideas to make us feel better, improvements, we feel we are in safe hands( metaphorically speaking that is...hehe)!

He sure is a fine leader of the MS gang!
With so many of us enjoying our stay at MS, helping each other, trusting each other and making friends, MS is sure to be staying afresh in us for a long-long time!
Looking forward to see MS grow into an internet-godzilla through time! :-)
