I'd like to bring this to the notice of the Mouthshut Editorial and Management and all Mouthshut Members.
Here's a very disheartening and disillusioning experience I've just had. A few days ago I picked up the Westside Plus (a supplement that comes complimentary with the Times of India to all readers in the Suburbs of Mumbai) and was in for a shock. An article that appeared on the front page of the supplement on hangout joints had a couple of paragraphs lifted from a few of my reviews on Mouthshut!!!! The writer simply pasted and copied by lines without bothering to change the language or grammar! What's more? She had even lifted my typos!!!
I happen to be a professional writer and seeing my work being lifted right under my nose is not something I can simply ignore. I hope Mouthshut can do something about such members or readers and stop them from lifting any of the work we members have contributed or we'll soon have all our reviews appearing with the plagiarists' names all around.
