Hi All,
Honestly speaking, I don?t know why I am writing this? this is not a review? So I am not sure about the ratings or kind of comments I will be getting on this? but still?.
I have been a member for a few months now and like many others, I have became addicted to MS. There are members, who have become my personal friends and there are times when I have used MS as a stress reliever.
In the process, I keep on coming across various kinds of people and repeated topics. Being statistically minded, I did a small search on the net and came up with the top fives at MS.
Of course, in the absence of a proper database, my top fives are not full proof, but never the less, are good enough to reflect upon. A simple thing that I have done while finding these top fives is that I have went to the profile pages of members and the topics, which I perceieved will be top contenders for the top fives.
If you know of anyone or any topic who can enter the list, please mention in the comments section o M2M me.
The numbers are as on 7.30 PM on 18th February 2005.
And before proceding any further, I would like to share the credit with parikhmunir, who came up with several corrections to make this list more authentic. Thanx buddy
The Top 5 Topics:
Any gueses which can be the top 5 topics at MS? Well, there are exactly 5 topics, on whom more than 200 reviews being written. Of course I looked for Sachin Tendulkar, Swadesh, Saurabh Ganguly etc? but no one is even close to 160.
So the top 5 topics are?.

Top 5 Reviewers
Hey? this is not the star writers. I am talking about the writers who have written the maximum reviews.
As per my search, the following are the top 5. Any others?
Cousine2 (547)
Milind Desai (292)
meleahk1 (284) .......... Thanks parikhmunir for the input
Bhavana (263) .......... Thanks krishnanrr for the input
cuchillo99 (255 ) .......... Thanks parikhmunir for the input
Top 5 Commenter
Commenting also plays a big role in boosting a writer?s morale. As per my search, the top 5 commenters are as follows. Lyla is again toping this list, far ahead of others.
Cousine2 (11144)
afrank (3350)
Jai Coer (2651)
Suyog (2630) .......... Thanks parikhmunir for the input
mnc123 (2258)
Top 5 Raters
Now lets come to the list where people give the maximum number of ratings (not necessarily the highest ratings). Lyla is at the top of this list also. I see Kalilrahman as a regular rater. But I don?t remember seeing him much offlate. Any clues?
Cousine2 (33408)
ashford (16128) .......... Thanks parikhmunir for the input
Diver (15854) .......... Thanks cool_tanmay for the input
Kalil Rahman (12332)
premjit (9187)
Trust List: Trusts
When we come to trust list, I was a bit surprised by the amazingly low numbers. I could trace out only 4 members who trust more than 100 members. I am sure there will be more. Any clues?
Prof BB Mohanty (858)
Eagle Eye (505)
cousine2 (377)
meleahk1 (285) .......... Thanks parikhmunir for the input
Dr Shafique (282)
Trust List: Trusted By
Now this is the other side. And the most amazing thing is that, the number of members who trust a member are much more than the number one trusts!! Does it tell us something?
Cousin2 (612)
meleahk1 (512) .......... Thanks parikhmunir for the input
Amrita (473) .......... Thanks afrank for the input
premjit (327)
jilmil (303) .......... Thanks parikhmunir for the input
Interesting fact is that the topper of this list is also distrusted by as many as 15 members!!! Probably while making friends you also end up making some enemies.
Well, that?s all from me. I won?t call it as a review or advice. Rather it is my ?General Thoughts on MS? that I am venting out. Please leave a comment. I am not sure how you will rate this as I don?t see how this review can be useful to someone.
Cheers.
