I live in bandra and I frequently visit G7, commonly known as gaiety - galaxy.The seven theatres are Gaiety,Galaxy,Gemini,Glamour ,Gem,Gossip & Grace Out of these,Gaiety & galaxy are the big theatres, Gemini has only a stall while the rest of the theatres are mini theatres with a seating capacity of approx 45-50 seats.
The theatres are very spacious & the seats are very comfortable with plenty of leg space.The seats are arranged diagonally & are sloping.Since it is a multiplex,there is always a good choice of 10 movies to choose from the 7 theatres. The only problem is that there is too much black marketing of tickets so if u wanna see a movie in the 1st 2-3 weeks,u should be willing to pay 100-250 bucks! when the 1st weeks bookings open on monday morning 8.30 am,within 1 hour the whole weeks plans for all the shows is claimed to be house full! I have often bought tickets from the very person who checks them i.e. the ticket collector! every one is involved in it becoz the crowd that comes to this theatre is very good,all willing to pay 100-150 for a ticket.
Another problem is car parking. Although this theatre has a good parking space, the show timings of the 7 theatres is not well managed, most of the timings clash creating a big traffic jam, especially in the last show. sometimes I feel that these people are trying to cram in too many movies.for eg, we went to see gladiator which was a 3 hour movie, but there was no interval as the next show was about to start immediately. I think they should definitely do something about the show timings.other wise if u are lucky to get tickets,then definitely visit this theatre !
