I went for servicing 3 times to GEM motors at kondapur and was overwhelmingly disappointed with their service. I had my A/C checked for leaks all the times from there and still it leaks and I end up filling it up each time. They courteously offered to fix my cars bad pickup and ended up screwing the starter. The subsequent fix (costing about 4k) which was supposed to take one day in the end took 5, in which period I was called to their center and then informed that "It was working yesterday, but not working now". I went to pick up the car a day later.
Next time they failed to notice a serious problem with some shaft and I ended up having my car breakdown at midnight in the middle of nowhere. The GEM guy who came called up a tow truck (which was actually going back after another drop) and promptly tried to charge me 1500 without a bill (quoting bill will be only if there was an accident. I ended paying 1500 but at least with a bill.) Then they managed to break my front bumper because the their first approach failed. I was dumbstruck at their unprofessionalism (after shelling out 1500 for 3 kms).
This time they fixed the problem and when I went to pick up, I was made to wait 30 mins for finalizing the bill. The advisor asked me to wait another 20 mins after the bill was settled, since no one was available to wipe the car before delivery since everyone was at a staff meeting. I asked them to forget the wipe and just deliver the car. Amazingly, now they discovered that they could not find my car stereo anywhere in their lockers. After another hour of waiting and searching I was asked to return the next day. In the evening I got a call from someone there, that they had finally located the stereo and I could come pick it up the next day.
Needless to say I urge people never to give this place a visit.
