Ever since I saw the videos and pictures of baked Alaska, I wanted to try it so bad that I looked for restaurants in Mumbai that served the dessert. Its a creamy dessert hot on the outside and cold inside. The dessert is on fire when served for a small moment.
I had this perfect image of baked alaska when I went to Gaylord because the way it is served is exciting. Ordered the dessert, it was a layer of egg omlette under which there was sponge, ice cream and fruits. This was not how it should look. My idea of the special dessert was tarnished. Nothing special about the recipe. Spent 400 on that!
Although I kind of liked the setup and ambiance. Cozy and classy. One of the oldest restaurants in Mumbai, I'd like to give this place a fair try, only one rule - no baked Alaska.
