The widwly built university with beautiul architecture.
- Infrastructure: 4 out of 5
Excellent hostels, classroom, labs and workshops. Along with a separate indoor stadium, gymnasium(under-construction), swimming pool, Open Air Theater, Central Library, Meditation Center, Shopping Complex, Bank, Post office etc.
- Placements: 1.5 out of 5
Till now, the campus has failed to place its students into top companies. The average package is also low, but it has hiked this year as the first B.Tech batch has passed out this year. But still a lot is to be done. In IITs and NITs, placement cell is mainly comprised of students, which is not a case with GBU.
- Administration: 2.5 out of 5
Over the years, administration of University has become week and lesser effective. No involvement of students in university administration unlike IITs and NITs.
- Faculty: 4 out of 5
All the faculties are PhDs, unlike those newer NITs and IITs which have Post Graduates for teaching first years. They have degrees from some premier institutes. But the only issue has, most of the departments have a heavy shortage of faculties which is leading to contract based teachers.
- Education: 3.5 out of 5
The examination system is better than UPTU, and could match to the levels of some NITs. The curriculum is regularly revised. The only issue is that reletive marking system is not being used by the university as it is being used by many NITs and IITs.
- Students: 3 out of 5
Hard-working, smart and talented. But lacks some crucial factors to out-shine.
- Research: 3.5 out of 5
Every department has PhD program. Since there is a shortage of faculties, there are not much indigenous research work being carried out in University. But most of the faculties has good projects funded by various government agencies.
- Security: 4.5 out of 5
Since the University is located in Greater Noida, security is a major concern of the administration. The campus has NO shortage of guards, to guard the hostels. The security of girls is over-hyped, but it is reasonable.
- Other basic facilities: 1.5 out of 5
Facilities like bus, canteens and juice centers, photo-copy and print-out(Library has this facility but it is not sufficient), book banks, library books, e-books, DC+ hubs, student bodies and gymkhanas etc.
- Technology involvement: 1.5 out of 5
This involves the usage of technology for various aspects of University. Like computerized attendance system, Moodle, lack of any system for information circulation, ADVANCED library book issue system(current system is not advanced).
- Fees: 4 out of 5
It is almost equivalent to that of IITs. Many of the private institutes charge double of that of GBU. You can never get such hostel facilities in this fees.
Besides these, there are other points that could be considered. I leave those for personal consideration.
