I have never had any issue with Amazon and this is my first experience with Gati.
Ordered a mobile phone battery on Amazon and the tracking showed that, the product will be delivered on December 3rd 2016. On the 3rd, I got a call from Gati that, they can't deliver the product because they have just received it and can't deliver it right away or something. The Gati guy(his name was Stalin) on the phone however, informed me that the product will be delivered on the next day 4th(Sunday). Soon after the call I got an update from Amazon that, "Delay Delivery on customer request." Which was preposterous.
I never got the package on Sunday as promised and it was not delivered on Monday as well. Then on Tuesday evening I got a call and was informed that the package will not be delivered since there was a political situation in TN because of the death of the CM - which was acceptable. The person informed me that the product will be delivered in a couple of days but asked me if it's okay if the product will be marked as delivered in Amazon. I said no, that's not okay and that you have already updated wrong information on Amazon on the 3rd that the delivery was delayed on customers' request. The guy just hung up on me in the middle of the call.
On 7th morning, I got an update from Amazon that the order could not be delivered as customer was not available. This is outrageous. They keep updating wrong information on Amazon and act in the most unprofessional way possible. Amazon is probably the best ecommerce store in India, but if they are going to partner with courier companies like Gati, it will have a negative impact on them.
