Garnier is a cosmetic brand owned and subsidiary of loreal, India. Now garnier has been one of the earliest brand to exploit the lifestyle advertising by linking facewash and other FMCG products to better day to day living which may be somehow playing for the garnier brand and ever since its introduction in India, It has been one of the consumer's favourite brand. Same may not be the case of garnier Oil clear matcha D-tox
Now garnier is selling this product with 3 major highlights anre those are
Powered by 100* anti-oxidant matcha, known as one of the world's most powerful teas
Cleanses pores from trapped, oil and pollution particles.
foaming gel formula which gives a pleasant clean feel while maintaing skin's natural moisture.
Let us review these points only here, firstly to be very honest I really don't see any Matcha action with this facewash other than being present in the product's fragrance, I can't promise the true sinificance of matcha in overall betterment of the product as well
secondly, cleasing of pores nad clogged pores and removing dirt particles from face is nothing new for a facewash, it likewise is the basic mechanism behind the use of facewash to cleanse and clean your skin
Thirdly, many unaware consumer never get to know the chemistry behind the products such as facewash, the sodium laureate sulphate which is a key ingredient in manufacturing of such product is the one responsible for producing soap like foam but should not be mistaken for being a soap which is it not, every facewash is surfactant base foam forming substance and this is definitely not new in the field of facewash.
MY EXPERIENCE-
Well now since we have solved the mysteries of advertising hoax, let us consider personal experience, it evident that oil clear provides a oil free skin after the immediate use but over a couple of minutes the overall effect vanishes and the skin starts sweating and the overall purpose is overdued. Oil clear matcha detox is a revamped version of Oilclear which was almost the same product without the match fragrance but with addition of some new ingredient, Garnier hits back with a higher price tag than the regular facewash from their own brand.
Rest assured this facewash is definitely a very expensive option available in the market and seriously not a worth it product by any means.
