Hello Friends, I had booked a Honeymoon Package to Andaman 6D/5N for my sister as her wedding gift through Andaman Tours and Travels by Garlic Holidays.
On phone, they sounded very good and supportive so I thought this could be a good agency since it also had the name of Andaman in their header I thought they would be specialized in the same. So discussed the itinerary with them and customized the plan and even did the advance payments. All was going smooth till the date of travel finally arrived.
Firstly let me warn you, they have Arun as their Sales guy who is the biggest cheat so don't fall for his words. Just a warning before I describe the entire experience.
Firstly the issue started once my sister reached the destination, there was no one there to collect them from the airport, we were told that someone would be standing with placard of their name and they searched the entire area and no one with their name was found the number who was to be their contact point didn't take the calls, I was coordinating with Arun from Mumbai to get them through and finally got contact details of driver who was sleeping in the car even after knowing the flight timings, poorly organized stage one.
Then came their first days itinerary which included Jail visit and Light show for which they hadn't booked the tickets in advance and so they didn't the get the tickets for the show because of which the plan was canceled and they were told they will manage it in the next few days, which never happened.
Now came a new issue the next day, there was cyclone issue which no one could control so they had to spend the entire next day only in Port Blair and another day of the intenary wasted. Only problem here was no one used to inform them, even the local person who was responsible for their stay. Arun, our sales guy would constantly ignore the calls and they would always in a dilemma of what happened.
Third day the situation remained the same but fourth day was when the Garlic Holiday guys disappointed more, when other Travel Agencies had arranged for alternatives my sister was stuck in Port Blair itself as they had not even arranged the ferry to the other islands, and finally late evening they were taken to Radhanagar Beach and another day wasted.
Now only 2 days left just requested Arun anyhow try to get them the Scuba Diving session for which I had paid additional but he just kept giving me false promises that it will be done and nothing was done, early morning they were told to leave from Radhanagar and taken to Chidiyatapu, when they could have tried Havelock Island which was also in Itenary, but very poor planning from them didn't help.
And finally the trip ended for them without actually getting to see anything, then Arun told me he would refund the Scuba Diving charges which they never booked but another false commitment, once the trip ended they didn't take my calls nor reply to emails which I kept on writing, I have the mail copies and other proofs of how they cheated. ANd posting them on social media so that others become aware.
So just to conclude, avoid this travel agency, Andaman tours and travels by Garlic Holiday if you plan for any Holiday.
