GCC is the one of the best colleges I have seen in India. The first time I joined GCC I did not know much about the college but I was attracted mostly by the service rendered by the staff here. I was joining from another college and after visiting different colleges in Bangalore, I realized that there is no other college in Bangalore I can study peacefully than GCC.
At the gate the security personnel’s spoke very gently and guided me where to go. Looking around GCC, I was attracted by the infrastructure; different blocks surrounded by the flowers, beautiful gardens in front of each department and the coconut trees that spread a fresh environment everywhere in GCC. Wherever I stepped that day I had a good feeling out of the environment of the college which is very attractive and really beautiful. But I still did not know about the teachers in class, my classmates and the staff here.
During my first day of class, I was feeling guilty about my decision of leaving my friends and being a stranger here, but I was proved wrong within a week as I was open to everyone in class and I came to know that GCC’s students are very displaced and also open to the everything and the teachers were really friendly. That was the first thing that changed my ideologies about people in India in general.
Most of colleges I had seen earlier including the one I was studying in for one year, I had never known their leaders. Their staff was having a non-helpful heart, they only show their sympathetic feelings about one’s problem, but do nothing about it. In GCC, it was different it is the college of Peace and Hope of tomorrow. In the one year I have been in GCC, my life changed and I started thinking about my future.
As an African student, I can tell my other African friends that there is nowhere in India I saw a college which takes care of each and every student equally especially the foreigners. I feel at home and my real family here at GCC. It is only in GCC that you can actually see what you have known about the college from the internet. They are very helpful about all kind of problem whatever happen and all the time it is made sure that the students are left with no doubts in their mind about anything. Here I am to give my testimony that GCC is the best, the reason why it will always be the first in education. I am very proud of being in Garden City College. For my first time I have got a high level percentage in my examination, not because I was not doing my best before but because GCC trained me how to be a dreamer, achiever and reach to success. Through GCC I am now planning my future and my hope of success is 100%.
I would like to thank Dr. Joseph V.G., the Chairman of GCC for helping all the students to plan for their future which is very important for the present because without a plan there is no hope. Deeply from my heart I appreciate the way we have been taken care by our parents (all the GCC staff) especially for foreigners from Africa. Sir, I thank you for being my father, the biggest thing I will always be proud about. May God bless this college and always be in the protection of God’s presence.
