Garden City College is a paradigm of all accords. It is an institution which consistantly churns out dynaminc ladies and charismatic men year after year, who make us proud with their unsurpassable achievements.
When I came to GCC in seeking admission in 2007 in B.Sc ( genetics, microbiology, chemistry), the first thing that caught my eye was the logo “ Emphasis Is On Life”. At that juncture , I didn’t quite understand its full essence and took it to be quite esoteric. But the months and years thereafter taught me the true translation of that eye-catching statement.
Life in GCC is an experience like no other, and this I can proudly vouch for , being associated for 4+ years with this institution. The overall exposure which one receives here is incomparable, which, by default, teaches lessons learnt way beyond the classrooms.
The motivation and dedication rendered here has helped enrich my academic life with a Bangalore University Rank, two Gold Medals and three Cash Prizes for my performance and scores. None of this would have been even a distant possibility if my lecturers- my mentors would not have been an infalliable source of support, keeping immense hope and faith in me and my abilities, even at times when I faltered.
Understanding their value and that of this institution has made me come back to pursue my masters in GCC in Biotechnology. I am sure the years to come will be equally exhilarating and priceless as the years gone by, if not more.
GCC experiences scores of students every year, but at the end of their stay here, they get transformed from 18-year-old-out-of-school-kids into mature individuals , well equipped with the mindset and the artillery of knowledge to face the unknown and the unforeseen. The journey here is truly magical, which grooms you into a personality, polishing skills in you of all sorts, and prepares you to take on anything in life head-on.
Life at GCC needs to be felt and experienced to realise what mettle you are truly made of. It has been creating “ Dreamers, Achievers and Winners” for years, and with full promise and hope of continuing to do so in the decades to come. Three cheers to the Gardenians!
