Garam Masala promised to be such a treat with Priyadarshan and at 70% of the cast of Hera Pheri but the movie turned out to be the disappointment of the year for me.
The storyline is probably the main culprit as the movie begins well but within 15 minutes the grip on the plot was completely lost. After this the story was never within the director's reach and the actors just acted mechanically and the directionless plot reached some hazy conclusion leaving you feeling cheated out of a good movie.
The story idea had a lot of comedy potential and the star cast, especially Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal definitely deserved a better directorial effort. The most severe disappointment was the direction and a script severely lacking in humour!
I would not recommend even one look at the movie, it is a complete waste of time...I hope for a better film from Priyadarshan in times to come
