Now I have watched the movie for 6 times and still I laughed. The movie is nothing to do with story or anything its just a full of fun film. Priyan is the person who has impressed me the most over the years in movie direction. I have seen all of his Hindi directorial ventures. He started off with a serious film Gardish and that was fabulous though not appreciated by many but it is one of fine movies. Then Kalaa Pani, Kabhi Na Kabhi and Virasat, both were made in a different form and I really loved them. Then Saat Rang Ke Sapne and Doli Saja Ke Rakha, these movies failed and Priyan’s career was on stake then he changed his style and used his experience toward the comedy movies. A series of comedy roped by him including Hera Pheri, Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar, Hungama and Hulchul. All movies got good response and people loved them now Kyunki and Garam Masala released on the same day and both have different mood, first one is serious and second is full of fun adding one more feather to Priyan’s hat.
Story
Garam Masala is a magazine where Akshay & John work as photographers. John approach an old photographer get some photographs which he present in International Photography Competition and wins an award. He is promoted over Akshay and there the turning point comes Akshay is much disappointed, he change his mind and with help of his friend he is able to flirt three Air Hostess. Everything goes on fine till one girl has some change in her flight timings and there flip turn in the story comes and in the end the girls came to know about the truth. One thing I missed, in between John comes into the story and become a helper of Akshay to get the story going.
Performances
Priyadarshan
Though there is nothing very new or special in the story but the treatment makes it worth watching. Simply one of best comedy movie. I can safely say that the story was illogical but the comedy was very logical and that made you laugh more and more. If you ask me who is the hero of the movie my answer is simply Priyadarshan. He holds the story in a very unsatisfying form and makes it very logical through his screenplay.
Akshay Kumar
He deserves an award as best comic role played. Simply he was so perfect in the character that I was stunned with the way he acted. Very good and demanded performance by Akshay.
John Abraham
He was very nice actually I was surprised with the way he acted in the movie. Simply outstanding and he made you laugh with his gestures and dialogue delivery. His very best of performance in comic role.
Paresh Rawal
As usual he is part of Priyan’s comedy movie and he is perfect. I loved his scene when he stands in front of the main door and the girl ask Akshay that why this man always stand here. He acted very well through out.
Three Girls (Puja, Dipti & Sweety)
Sorry I don’t know their real names but they were story makers of the movie. All three were good in their roles. Dipti was loud at times but can say the demand of character, Puja was all the way fine she has future in the Bollywood & Sweety has little to show among the girls but her looks were ok.
Rimi Sen
She can be called as the Guest appearance as she has not more than 10 lines in the whole film to say. But her dresses were pretty and as she was the bonding force of the story so from that perspective she acted well.
Others
Remaining cast was very good in performing their roles. Actually when the team leader is good and he hold all things well in his hands then everything looks fine so as the case with Garam Masala Priyan took over the charge of the film and accomplished his mission quite successfully.
Music
“Ada” “Dil Samunder” & “Chori Chori” are the songs which didn’t affected the pace of the movie but added some more spice to the movie.
My Favourite Scenes in Garam Masala
The starting scene when John hits Akshay and he is pushed onto the model girl.
The Restaurant sequence as whole was master piece. When Akshay and John comes and do the same standing on either side of pillar. Then when Akshay came to know that he lost his wallet and he tries to escape and both times a waiter drops as he want to crawl to way out. Fabulous scenes.
When Akshay went to the house owner and ask him for the job.
The post interval was as a whole master piece every shot make you laugh and screened perfectly.

Final Words
Anyone who misses to watch this film will miss a sure laughter. Whole movie was worth watching but the post interval portion is loving. I would recommend the movie to everyone who likes to watch movies for fun , he/she would certainly fun and lol.
