After visiting Goa I thought to pen down my experience of Ganpatipule also. I visited this place some time back. We took a train route from Mumbai to ratnagiri. We reached ratnagiri at 10am. From ratnagiri we hired a taxi for Ganpatipule. There are only 2 option which u can take from ratnagiri either the Bus or taxi. The expense came around 2000/- bucks as we were 8 people. The journey was an experience in itself. As you will be leaving the ratnagiri you will find the typical village market. There will be small roads with sharp turns, sometime you will see the clean and clear beach on right side or on left side. Somewhere you will be climbing the mountain and seeing the view downside will feel your heart with joy.

When we reached ganpatipule, we had already booked our rooms just near to beach in MTDC resort. The rate of the room were around 1400/- non AC. The biggest blunder was that in our rooms there was AC working but as per booking room will be without AC, so they took out the plug of AC. If you take the front room then your gallery will have a view of the beach. And if you took the back side of the room then you will have good view of sunrise from your room window. There is a creek at the back side of the room.. But this option is available in Konkani rooms only. We spent 2 full days there, in afternoon we ate at the MTDC restra. The food was ok type.

In night we always went to town for food there are small small huts which serves the good veg and non veg food with cheaper rate. The temple is near to resort only. The only problem was when the stretch of mtdc resort to the main road. The way is from the dense forest. There is no light on the way. So for safety you will find 2-3 people sitting in the mid way with lamp and lathi.

The way the beach resort is designed is first comes the open restra and then there is a play area with some cottage in middle. Also as for water sport you will find only water scooter and nauka they will give you a trip around the creek. There you an find many species of bird. Also please don't think about water scooter as that you get in Goa that Yamaha 1. Its not that type. We spent our whole day on the beach only.

If you want to a relaxing holiday or a lazy holiday where you want to be away from crowd this is the place you must visit. Lazy holiday means tea at the beach, breakfast at the beach, lunch at the beach and evening at the beach sitting under the umbrella with shadows of coconut trees. Whole resort is having a plenty of coconut trees. Also if you take a 5 min walk on the beach you will small market and shack around the beach.
