I'm here with my review on Ganpati pule. I visited this place On 24th n 25th feb 09! So starting with, I would like to focus on travelling first. It is indeed very tiring when u go by local st bus or a bus on hire! Make sure u Eat less n have a Avamine (Hyoscamine) tablet so u just don't puke out!

We went from mumbai via the super famous NH-17highway! A few km near Sangameshwar,  take right towards ganpatipule. If u go by train, alight at Ratnagiri stn n then head off by st buses. When travelling by pvt bus or car, make sure u or ur driver have a hand full of experience.

Or else u gonna risk ur life! Make sure that u/driver hav ample of sound sleep last night! Travel safe, n enjoy the most! Now it's sight seeing.. Ganpatipule got its name due to its Swayambu Ganpati mandir. The mandir is maintained by trust which provides accommodation at very low cost.

But these days but these days it seems to b renovating. So head for Pvt hotels or lodges! The ganpatipule mandir has a 1km long pradakshina for the temple. The beach is just opposite to mandir, Awesome, but with beauty, comes the beast!

Look's like 1 in andaman N nicobar. Full greenish! The beach is indeed, "the dangerous beach" on entire konkan region. Just enjoy beach side.

There are no life guards, so better keep off the shallows. There is another beach nearby at Bandarpule ie 2 km. and i've heard that this is more safer than the ganpatipule beach (I'm not sure though, coz I hadn't been there) Malgund is 2km from ganpatipule, it is the birthplace of famous poet Keshavsoot.

His poems are worth reading. Another excursion is the Marleshwar. That’s where Shivji's cave and a big waterfall is. The road to this place is just horrible.

That's gonna put u or ur driver to a real test!! There's a big waterfall near the cave, that is considered very religious. There are non-poisons snakes in the cave, wont harm u.About eateries now... There are few good hotels that provide good Konkani and punjabi dishes. All these hotels close at 9:00pm so go early. Have a nice cup of Soal-kadi after  food.

That is the specialty of this place. Local sightseeing can be done in 1 day. So it will be a 2 nights and 3 days trip to explore each and every aspect of this place.
