I visited Gangtok in Sept end.
we planned our tour from Chiwabhanjang Tours & Travels.
We travelled from Kolkata to NJP on 30th Sept via darjeeling Mail.
We went to Gangtok through Wagon R from NJP on 1st Oct.
We checked in to Yavachi hotel and had lunch with some rest. We then left for local Gangtok sightseeing. We visited Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Monastery, Flower Show and then to M.G Marg. We had dinner at M.G Marg and enjoyed the weather there. Gangtok is a baeutiful place with its own calm and serenity. I felt very relaxed and at peace amidst nature.
Then on 2nd Oct we left for Lachen via Bolero. On way we watched Singhik View point, Naga Water Falls. We took a break at Chungthang valley and had Tea and snacks there. We checked in to Kalden Residency at lachen. Theys erved dinner there.
On 3 rd Oct we headed for Gurudongmar lake at 3AM in the morning. we had breakfast at Chopta Valley where we were offered Maggi. Gurudongmar Lake is situated at height of 18, 000 ft. It feels like heaven. No words I ahve to describe the natural beauty. we feel as if we are within the mountains. I couldnt stay there for long as I faced breathing problem due to great altitude.We returned back to hotel by 12 noon. had lunch there and then headed to lachung. We reached Lachung at 5PM where we checked in to Eco Nest hotel. We were served dinner at the hotel.
On 4th Oct we started for Zero point via Yumthang valley at 7AM. Enroute we visited Sulphur Hot Spring hwhich is supposed to have medicinal values. We got snow fall in Zero point. We enjoyed there alot. Then we returned back to hotel where we were served Lunch. At 1PM we checked out and headed back to Gangtok.
on 5th Oct we travelled back to NJP.
A lovely tour to cherish and remember.
