Gangtok is the largest town of Sikkim situated in shivalik hills. It is a long of monastries and Buddhist piligramage centre. It is a important trant centre between the British and Teebat between 19th century. Gangtok was made the capital of Sikkim in 1894 in 1975 after period of struggle Sikkim was finally made and Indian state and Gangtok was made its official capital the city suffered a major set back and it's trate relation with Teebat after nathu la pass closed during the pass has been open in 2006 and Gangtok has gain started function as a major trate point between India and Teebat.
