The much awaited second part hit the screens today to jampacked houses as was expected !! Before going for this movie, please remember not to compare it with the first part, this was originally meant to be one single movie broken down into 2 parts for Indian release, so if you view the two parts as one movie you will be able to better appreciate the intent !! I did the same and had an enjoyable time !!
Faizal ( Nawazuddin Siddiqui) is great with his cold , almost maniac intensity fulfilling a job which befalls on him of avenging his family's pride, which he never wanted at first but agrees to it reluctantly because he was meant to do it!! The side kicks are good at their parts -> perpendicular, tangent, definite, sultan and so on. Ramadhir singh (tigmanshu dhuliya) is brilliant as ever. The women have lesser role to play this time and are introduced for some comic romantic moments.
2 of which stand out , b/w mohsina and faizal. The movie runs through several plots and sub plots ultimately bringing an end which justifies them all and being predictable as in all crime sagas ! Lots of mindless gun wielding, bloodshed and handsome dose of cuss words (if u have watched movies like pulp fiction, goodfellas by tarantino and scorcese resp. , u will know :)) The unique songs n music stand out once again("kaala re" is haunting and nice, so is "dil chicha ledar" and "ek taraf chand" ). Missed sardar (manoj bajpai) !!
The second half seems stretched and slow at times but overall a good one time watch. P.S. bihar/jharkhand people go for sure !!
