Indian mythology has given a lot of importance to chaar dham. The four dhaam yatra is one of most auspicious yatra. Fortunately, Gangotri is one of the chaar dhaams. The shrine is located on the hills which not only holds the religious importance, but it also holds majestic views of Himalyas. If you have to breath the clean air, this is the place to be at. However, beware of visiting here during winters. The place is full of snow and its freezing to be here.
