Yamaha has come out with cutting edge technology in its new bikes(fz-16, fz-s, R15). I decided to purchase a Yamaha Fz-s in November 2009 and enquired 3 showrooms in mumbai. I decided to purchase from Ganesh Enterprises for the only reason that it was most near to my place of residence and that has been amongst the biggest mistake of my life.
It started right from the day I visited their showroom to check out the bike, its features and colours. To my astonishment, the staff proceeded to show me the bike as if they were doing a favor to me! The discussions which followed were equally non-courteous. I took the cost break-up and we finalized on the accessories and days for delivery.I wanted to use my credit card for payment for which they said to charge a whopping 3% extra(other showrooms charge 2% to 2.25%. I negotiated and we finally decided on 1.5%. On the day of delivery, the guys conveniently showed the bike without including the Leg-guard as previously decided.
When I inquired, then straight came the reply that we are charging 1.5% on credit card and already provided you the discount, hence leg-guard is not included! Height of cheating. I had to shell out 500/- extra for the leg-guard as they were not ready to acknowledge the terms on which the sale was decided. Moreover, they also over-charge for the paper-work(atleast 200 more than other showrooms I inquired).
On the day of delivery, my sur-name on the RC was mis-spelled. On this, they calmly said that it's ok and there would be no issues.
Later, If I want it to be rectified then they said it would cost me 750/- more. My only reason for undergoing the trauma to purchase it from Ganesh Enterprises and accept the delivery of the bike despite being overpriced by 1200/-(in all) on the decided price and with the mis-spelled name on RC was that I needed the bike on that specific date for a personal reason.I showed them their faith and surity of purchasing the bike and in return they opened every possible loophole to exploit more money from me.
I am yet to see their after-sales service.I hope it is not as worse an experience as they made "my one of the most sweet moment of life to possess my first bike" .
Signing off on only positive note, they promised delivery in 1 week time and they did . Apart from that - Trust Ganesh Enterprises Vikhroli, Mumbai with the bike of your dreams on your own risk!
