Friends, here I am writing about Only Mr. Gandhi, and not on his film, some thoughts to share.

Many of my friends and colleagues would go on at length targeting and accusing Gandhi of miscalulating the end of India's Freedom struggle. I would often defend him with whatever little knowledge that I had about Gandhiji. One day one of my friends said," Its all because of Gandhiji he is the one who divided us on religion into India and Pakistan and on caste into Harijans and non-harijans, that we are still paying the price!"

I was astonised to hear that although the principles on which Gandhiji led his life and ended with were not much known to me. But how could he have done that? Luckily, I did my graduation from wardha were lies a village which Gandhiji idealised - Sewagram. I visited it not once but many times. The first experience caught my imagination. There was a book stall right next to the gate of Ashram and a library across the road with books on Gandhi's life and his mantras of one's conduct in normal day to day life. I walked around, seeing the place around the farms behind the hedge, a small veranda, a charkha, a place for "Dhyaan" and many photos. These were photos of the time when Gandhiji stayed there and people from all walks of life came to meet him. The place would have presumably been nothing short of the capital of the country then? As I went further, I happened to enter a hut where a few old men and women were weaving on CHARKHAS. The old man told me that it was needed now more than even before. I didnot understand what he meant and went back and pondered over it.

I have not come to the conslusion that we really need to learn from the examples set by our ":Father of the Nation".

Sewagram, itself speak of what needs to be done. One does not need any books to know what Gandhiji used to think or what advised. The Place, Sewagram, where he lived is an ideal example of how to live a materially and spiritually satisfed life.

The idea though simple is difficult for the present geration to even imagine! However it is upto us, the people to imbibe in ourselves the real spirit of Gandhiji, wherein a nation is self-sufficient. This is a need to cultivate a Gandhian Spiritualism, the absense of which is the main culprit behind the division in our society. We need to have confidence in ourselves. We are not beggars who need help from US or UK. Why should we? I believe that a subject on Gandhiji and his thoughts is a must in all schools right from class five. Schools, especially those in nagpur, should organise trips to places like sewagram so that the children today do not nurture any misconceptions about Gandhiji tomorrow. Or else they would also end up growing either into people like my friends who without any knowledge edge summed up our whole history in a single line or like me who came to know about Gandhiji's greatness not by books but by default.

What the step taken by Mr. Kapil Hirani today with the Help of his film "Lagey Raho Munnabhai" is the step which our society shall follow. Yesterday when I was watching some local news of Nagpur, I found that some charitable trusts have organised this film shows for childrens facing some kind of physical disabilities, and for their to and fro, some travell agencies from nagpur have arragned their buses free of cost for this film shows.

Wooww... Its great,

Friends this is not review but a discussion.........

thats all
