I made a few price comparisons online and decided to buy a phone from Gadgetsguru.com. The payment was made online and I asked them to deliver the phone at my parents' place. However, after two weeks, I thought of following up with them and was told that they won't be able to deliver the product.
What surprised me was that the customer care executive said that the courier doesn't go where I live. When I said that Amazon and Jabong have delivered their products, she asked me to list a few courier service providers in the area. This made me angry because it's a shame for an ecommerce company to ask its customer about the courier service active in the locality. It should actually be on their tips and if not, they should better research.
The order was canceled after that. But, after two weeks when I checked if the money was given back to my account, I came to know it wasn't. I followed up with the team but no response and then I had to email the issue to their top management. It was then I was told that refund request has been initiated. I fail to understand why this wasn't done immediately after order cancellation.
Those who are looking for best deals on cellphones etc, don't go to gadgetsguru.com. It is better to spend 500-1000rs extra then taking all the hassles and getting frustrated mentally.
Hope I am able to inform others the right way.
