With all the advertisements, hype and controversy created by the movie the movie is not worth watching.The story is not properly handled by the director,the scenes are not properly shot the dialogues are the worst if you dont believe me go and see the movie and see sunny repeating madamji madamji.I also see some communal colour in the film they are trying to create a rift between muslims, sikhs, and christians.The way they showed the qazi and tried to malign the religious scholars of islam and then the missionary principle who does not allow the poor sunny to sing as far as my knowledge though I am not a christian, the missionaries were working only with the poor and downtrodden.Somebody told me mother terrasa used to pick up abandoned babies from the gutter where maybe you and I will hesitate to do so.The director does not know much about the religions also he has not done justice to all these three religions.It seems he has created the controversy so that the film gets some business which otherwise would have done badly at the box office.In islam it is not allowed for the girl to marry a polytheist or of another religion if she does so then she is considered as an apostate and deserves death punishment.The performance of all the artists is the worst and it was very unfortunate that the director could not do justice to the talented starcast including Amrishpuri.Very unrealistic movie the scene whie they are escaping from pakistan is very very bad.The people of pakistan they showed were all looking like comedians rather than the roles they were trying to potray.I am sure this movie deserves a filmfare award in two categories one for the worst film of the year award if you dont believe me go and see the film.
