GKB Opticals at Velachery, Chennai has employeed some guys in their customer service, who do not know head or tail of what business they are into. They never listen to the customers and their motto is to somehow answer customer queries but not solve them.
I purchased a frame in a diffrent store(not GKB) and to fit glasses I gave it in GKB. When I collected it, I wanted the frame to be adjusted a little bit to fit me.
Two things happened here
The guy was continuously discouraging that the frame is not purchased at GKB and so it is of crap quality
He did not know how to do minor tweaks to the frame(adjusting nose pads a little etc) and so he said it is fine and he sees no problems.
I'm wearing spects for past 20 years, so I myself was able to do it easily at home finally.
The tone in which they talk is disgusting. And the funny part is they think they are the best in the world without realising there are people who laugh at them.
This is my second experience with GKB. The first one was one equally bad. It was a different customer service person who gave me a piece of sheet and asked me to write my name address and phone. While he noted down my mobile number in his records, he wrote it wrong. When I politely mentioned that the number noted is wrong and told the right number, he started arguing that my handwriting was not clear in the first place and he started criticising me rather than correcting the number.
I've seen so many shops where they treat customers with respect. But this place doesn't suit me at all as I get humiliated every time I visit. So knowingly I'm not ready to make the same mistake for the third time. I'll never ever go there.
