Well we all know this girl and what she is about so I thought that I would pick this album up as a pressie for my partner. But when I listened to this album I was a bit taken aback as quite a few of the tracks were different from the radio versions that you hear and are not as good. if you like Mad Donna( sounds like my lass written like that) then you will like this album but as she is not an artist who has impressed me exept for me likeing a few of her songs then maybe this is a better way to get hold of her songs that you like as I would not waste my cash on all the albums she has released.
Track Listings:
Deeper and Deeper this is quite a good song to start the album of with as it is one of her better ones on the album . It has a nice tune to this one and not too bad at all.
Erotica I do not think very much of the way this song starts out and even though it does get better the start just lets it down too much for me.
Human Nature I hated this tune at first with it's heavy R&B feel to it but it is one of those that improve a bit as you listen to it more and more. no matter what though this is by no means one of the best tracks.
Secret This is quite a easy listening sort of song that is done in more of a style that reminds me of the days of her immaculate collection.
Don?t Cry For Me Argentina We all know this as the title tune to the film Evita. I do not like this at all myself as I do not like the classicxal style of way thaty this is sung and the song went down just as well with me as the film did in Argentina.
Bedtime Story This has a different feel to it again this song with it's heavy techno beat to it and varying rythm, I did not rate this one too highly either as I do not like this tune at all.
The Power of Goodbye This is again back to more like the older style of songs sung by Madonna and is one of the better ones on the album, quite easy listening and easy to relax to this one.
Beautiful Stranger One of my favourites though this is like the Austin Powers song of pop, and even though it is done more like the old style it still has a nice catchy tune and beat to it.
Frozen Another easy going tune this one, quite good as a background song this and also one of the better tracks on the album, quite ahaunting style melody to it.
Take A Bow Not a song that I like as I do not like love songs much and this falls into that category, This will go down well with a lot of people, but not for me.
Ray of Light This is a lot more like my style of song that I like with a nice lifting tune to it. A good when to listen to when work or the kids are getting you down. Most people will recognise this from the new Windows XP advert that plays this tune with it.
Don?t Tell Me This song is ok even though it has a bit of a country and western feel to it. Quite easy listening and not too bad this one either. 13. What It Feels Like For A Girl I just did not like this song at all. The tune seemed to overpowering for the words ans singing at times.
Drowned World (Substitute for Love) I did not like this song too much either at first but it is another of those songs that seems to grow on you a bit the more that you listen to it.
Music Hey Mr Dj this is probably the song I like most on this album. Dont ask me why as their is nothing particular that I can put my finger on. Well the only way that I would buy Madonnas albums are in this form where you get her best hits.
I still prefer her older Immaculate collection to this but this album is one of thoise that grow on you as you listen to them more. still it is worth seeing if their is anything else that you would like mpre before buying this one.l
