We have paid 22 payments of $103.00 on time with no issues. Payment number 23 which was June was two days late, not bad, they added a $25.00 late fee which was OK because we were late. I sent payment 24 for $128.00 and then back to normal payments 25 and 26 of $103.00 each....
Here's where it gets strange. I receive a call saying I owed $167.00. I phoned their support line and was told that the $25.00 late fee would not be processed until the end of the contract and that all money would go towards the balance and I was assessed a $35.00 fee for not paying the late fee. I explained to the person from India that made no sense. If they never processed the additional fees, I would never stop receiving penalties...then it hit me it's 0% interest and they hope you're late so they can make up the difference with fees and they talk in circles until you hopefully just give up.
Well I didn't give up and argued with her until she finally applied the $25.00 to the late fee and then removed the $39.00 fees, but said I still owed $167.00. So I paid $167.00 which I was told will be applied to the balance.
So we shall see when I get next months statement. If not it's back on the line to India.
