Myself and my husband were receiving outpatient care and I got admitted to their maternity - in patient care for a while. Their services are so pathetic and no way related to their vision statement. More importantly their facilities are the ultimate trouble makers with unimaginable dust and noise pollution. Patients expect reasonably good facilities, but the constant teeth grinding noise, hammering the walls, strong odor of paint and other deadening chemicals have ultimately spoiled my health and recovery. Day and night, the snail paced enhancements to the facilities continue.
You may be wondering if we had stayed in the general ward and these problems will exist. But not at all. We were hosted in a A class room and we were not spared by these harmful pollution and poor facilities. In my opinion, we deserved a reasonable care but their current enhancements to the facilities delayed my recovery. Their facilities manager must need sufficient basic education on the importance of healthcare centers and why they are different from other facilities like shopping centers or stores. Enhancements to their facilities could have been managed lot better. No wonder - the statue of the honorable founder lies uncared amidst the dust and other waste.
Not only it delayed the recovery from illness, it also brought my new born infant into illness. More than these issues in inpatient care facilities, this hospital lacks facilities for dropping off/picking up patients. The security teams that they have posted behave notoriously without education/training on crowd control. Had their facilities manager thought about a good security policy, a more appropriate team with sufficient training could have been selected.
Hope they will have the mind to optimize their facilities better with appropriate planning and considering the betterment of their patients in future. I would advice my known contacts to keep away from this hospital for their own benefit and faster recovery. Ofcoz we didnt expect to be treated as if we were in an amusement part with all the noise and howling!. It would be worth listing their facilities as the world's worst hospital facility than one of the worst facilities.
