The advertising is very slick but the deals are not great. If you are located in any metro where the group has physical outlets, the maximum price difference is maybe Rs 500 on an item of Rs 30, 000! Hardly worth the two week wait for delivery.


This site might be ok for some impulse buying of relatively cheap items, but I would not suggest buying any durable, or any kind of item which requires after sales support, installation or maintanence from here. They simply do not have any system in place to address this.


I bought a 32 inch Moser Baer LCD TV from this site. I later on discovered that I had 'saved' maybe Rs 400!


A free Tata Sky STB was advertised with this. It was shipped nearly one month after the TV itself.


I had got the TV to be shipped to my parents in Chennai. It needed some assembly -- a stand had to be put together. Also, being old people, I had asked their call centre at the time of purchase whether the product would be installed and demonstrated.


I was assured that it would and that at the time of the product delivery, the recipient would be given a contact number for this purpose.


No such thing happened.


On repeated calls and follow ups, I was contsantly told that my issue would be "resolved within 24 hours".


No such thing happened.


The issue still remains unresolved and I had to find my own solution to the issue by paying an outsider.


The normal after sale support which any dealer gives on a sale was missing totally.


I dread to think what would happen if the set were to break down.


The call centre refused to escalate my issue to higher authority despite specific demands to do so. The website also does not offer any specific contact detail or procedure for unresolved complaints.


My general advice would be to beware of this, or any other site, which does not offer the mandatory dispute redressal procedure information clearly on its website, does not offer name, address and contact details of complaints officer etc. In such cases, you will be left futilely calling up a call centre which does not know anything and does not have the capability or empowerment to sort out problems.
